Senior Operation Manager (ETF, QDII/QFII, Buy Side)
Responsibilities:
- A Operations Manager is required to setup and supervise a small Middle Office team for ETF and focus in Hong Kong and China stock markets, to manage a team to support day-to-day operations for the trading desk.
- Liaise with and advise Participating Dealers
- Provide excellent client services to both trading desk and external/ internal customer by providing accurate, timely responses to queries and issues
- Manage and monitor all the day to day work of the team
- Work closely with the trading desk and other regional offices to develop global infrastructure and platforms to standardise operating model to support Hong Kong clients
- Regular review on fund administration, transfer agency and fund accounting with the Custodian and Fund Administration
- Provide support to Front Office for existing products and new product initiatives.
- Understand the clients' requirements in the trade settlement cycle and provide status updates to clients according to their requirements
- Assist Fund Manager in Cash management, Collaterals management, Tracking errors and rebalancing
- Liaise with Cash Management team on funding requirements and arrangement.
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Investment, Business Administration or Economics
- At least 5 years' hands-on experiences in ETF, retail fund, Equity / Equity & Derivatives Middle office or related experience in buy side such as asset management and/or international financial institutions
- Sound understanding of a range of ETF, retail fund, QDII, QFII, Equity / Equity Derivative Products ( Swaps, Options, Pnotes all relevant hedges including stock, NDFs, FX)
- Good understanding of end-to-end trade life cycle and operational risk
- Good command of English (both verbal & written) and mandarin would be an advantage
- Good ethics with strong interpersonal and communication skills with sales-focused and customer-oriented attitude
- Confident, outgoing and willing to accept challenges
