Title: SENIOR ANALYST PROGRAMMER / SYSTEM ANALYST

The incumbent will be responsible for undertaking system design and development, providing daily production and product launch support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide first level support;
• Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements;
• Provides assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology;
• Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guide, etc.;
• Involved in the design phase of any new IT software development projects;
• Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for all new development projects;
• Develop and implement business applications / systems for the department according to existing corporate software development standards;
• Test, debug and document software developed both internally and externally; and
• To plan how work is to be carried out to meet targets of the project or team task.

Requirements:

• Degree or above in Computer Science;
• At least 3 years’ working experience in insurance industry is preferred;
• Minimum 4 years’ solid experience in AS/400 system design and development, CBL, CLP/400, QRY/400, SQL;
• 3 years’ solid experience in policy administration system, CAPSIL/INGENIUM;
• Knowledge in crystal reporting programming, VB, XML and Power Builder is an advantage;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good command of English and Chinese; and
• Able to work independently and be a fast learner.

*Candidates with more experience will be considered as System Analyst.
